    When I was five my Grandparents brought my two sisters and myself to Sunday school here all summer. I remember the song In the Cross that we learned. Also the Sunday pot lucks after Church services. I am a practicing Roman Catholic. Grandma Grace Alice and John Walter Duryea who are buried under the tree in this cemetery.

  • New Hope Missionary Baptist Church was founded in the year of our Lord 1853, with it becoming a part of the Franklin United Baptist Association. Eventually the membership joined thee locale Saline Baptist Association which also has fellowship with the Illinois Baptist State Association and the Southern Baptist Convention. Located on a hill, a view from the church and cemetery showcases the the spiritual fields of harvest below.
